About our site
This is the official site for Windle Parish Council and its parishioners. It aims to inform Windle parishoners of events and other news both from within the Parish and also from the St.Helens area. The site will supplement the printed Parish council newsletter and contain content from the newsletter. Windle Parish council consists of nine elected members from the local community. The parish council, currently chaired by Mr Ken Roughley, meets on every third Tuesday of the month at Eccleston Parish Hall in Kiln Lane. They discuss local community matters ranging from planning applications to changes in the parish boundary. Windle parish employs a part time clerk, currently Mr Len Kilshaw, who is responsible for implementing policy decisions as well as liasing with the town council and the local parishioners.News and Events
Events calender for Eccleston Library in Broadway, Eccleston
A fun filled hour of Children's Easter Craft activities on Thursday 5th April 2 - 3pm. Places need to booked by calling in the library or phoning 01744 677575. There will be an opportunity to make an Easter card and paper basket. Teresa Mercer will be holding a Family Healthy Living Advice Session on Wednesday 11th April 1.30 - 3.30pm. Call in to learn about nutrition and healthy living, enjoy a fresh fruit kebab and colouring sheets will be made available for the children To celebrate National Pet Month, we are holding an animal craft session on Friday 13th April 3 - 4pm. This is for over 8's. Please book your place by calling in or phoning the library on 01744 677575. The crafts will include pet origami, animal masks and more! Do you enjoying playing scrabble, cards and dominoes? Come along to the library on Thursday 19th April 2.30 - 3.30pm for a fun filled hour of games. This event is aimed for adults only. No need to book, just turn up! The Man who built St Helens, a talk delivered by Dr Tom Preston on Wednesday 16th May 2.30pm - 3.30pm. Come along and learn about the local history.
